Gekokujo is a mod that takes you to historic Japan, where samurai fight across battlefields alongside many other troops. Gekokujo Gekokujo's world map makes a surprisingly big difference. The minor factions play a big role here, and it even includes a conqueror who comes partway through the game with huge armies, tossing things into disarray and becoming a major faction. Other games lack that, and the mixture of Dwarfs, Elves, Giants, and Humans create a useful fantasy setting that has some very interesting factions and troop lines. I have a soft spot for fantasy and for mounting a killer wolf or dragon and charging over enemy soldiers as I can do here. Install Guide - This mod requires the 'ATC - Troop Changer' mod to be installed and placed above my mod in the mod list on launch. While other mods have a lot to offer, I have to admit that Persino is a personal favorite. I plan to rework her into a better troop tree that is a precursor to the Warband Sword Sisters. If you have alot of low tier men and women in your party, a low leadership skill and your party has low morale, then there will be a chance of them deserting your army and running off together.Ĥ - Im wanting to rework the Sword Sister troop, it was my favourite troop from Warband and I love that they added her to Bannerlord but there is no upgrade tree for her and shes a pretty crap troop at the min. As they witness more of their brothers and fathers perish in battle, more Battanian women are stepping up to take their place and avenge them.ġ - The next female troops will probably be peasant women for Vlandia and Jawwal tribeswomen.Ģ - I will be adding a morale boosting effect, so if you have any of the highest tier female troops in your party it will boost your parties morale and lessen the chance of your army routing and fleeing the battle.ģ - Im planning on adding a 'disorder / undisciplined' feature. Hunting has been a traditional pastime for these women for generations and some become very skilled with a bow and spear as a result. As the empire invades more of their land they are increasingly seen armed and fighting to protect their homes and families. Although it is extremely rare to see a Sturgian woman in battle, it is not unheard of, as unmarried or widowed women can join a raiding party, if their chieftain permits it.īattanian - The women of battania are no stranger to battle. Sturgia - The war-like men of Sturgia love a good fight and the women are no different! Most women in this snowy place are taught the basics of fighting with an axe or sword and how to use a shield, so that they can confidently defend their farms when the men are called away on raids. In extreme circumstances they can be fielded as auxiliary horse archers. Both the men and women are expected to pull their weight in the tribe and do their share of hunting and w hen the men are away on campaign, its the women's duty to protect the tribe's herd. Khuzait - The horse and the bow are the great equalizers between the sexes and the nomadic people of the Calradian steppe are taught to ride and shoot from a young age. These women are recruitable from the villages in their respective factions and the AI will use them too but its a rare occurrence. The default is set to 10% for normal troops and 5% for noble troops so they are a rarity in the game. You can change the ratio of men to women in the config file. Only the 'barbarian' factions will have female troops, this is because (in my opinion) I feel it is more 'realistic' that barbarian women would have the opportunity to become warriors as their cultures are more accepting of fighting women. Most of these women are not made for brutal frontline combat but they shine in supportive roles like ranged skirmishing, assisting in harassing and flanking the enemy and to make up the numbers in the levy. They are not OP (actually they are kinda weak in the lower tiers) and are as 'realistic' and 'historically accurate' as I can make them. I have taken my time to think about each faction (and the real-life factions they are based on) and made a lore-friendly female troop tree for each one. I wanted them to be unique troops in their own right but fit in with their factions and their particular style of warfare, while remaining balanced. I didnt want to just add some random women for the sake of it and I didnt want to just make a female version of the male troops. This mod is slightly based on the amazing Mixed Gender Troops mod by tASE, as his mod has not been revived I decided to make my own version. *** MADE FOR FOR 1.5.9 - NOT TESTED WITH 1.5.10 SO USE AT OWN RISK *** *** UPDATED - NOW WITH FEMALE BANDITS & PEASANT WOMEN TO VILLAGER PARTIES ***
